Team -> Peter Dzonzi

Peter Dzonzi is an environmental health professional with a strong track record in public health programme coordination and implementation. He currently serves at the Phalombe District Health Office, where he leads core programmes in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Community Health Services, and Health Care Waste Management (HCWM). Peter was recognized as the Best Young Male Environmental Health Professional in Malawi at the 2025 MEHA Annual General Conference and as the Best Performing Staff in the Environmental Health Department at Phalombe DHO for 2024/2025. He brings broad expertise across disease surveillance, climate change and disaster risk management, nutrition, immunization, food safety, occupational health, and environmental pollution control, with a commitment to advancing community health and sustainable environmental health practices in Malawi.
