Following the feedback which MEHA Executive received on the initial revised subscription
rates, here are the revised rates effective 23rd January 2023. The new fees structure and description is as follows:
- Student Membership:
Definition: This is entry-level for individuals currently enrolled in undergraduate
educational programs related to environmental or public health programs. The level
applies to only new members.
Benefits:- Access to networking events

- Membership fee:

- Standard Membership:
Definition: This level is for individuals in either formative (1-10) or mid-senior career levels (10+) years of Environmental health practice.
Benefits:- Includes all benefits of student membership
- Access to Exclusive webinars, seminars, specialized publications, networking
events - 30% Discounts on certification programs
Promoting Safe Environment for Healthy and Productive Living - Membership fee:
-> HSAs/EHAs/CHWs/DCAs (Those with a certificate in EH/PH or Disease control & surveillance Assistants MK10,000
-> With a Diploma in EH/PH MK15,000
-> With a Degree in EH/PH and above MK20,000
- Long-term Membership:
Definition: This level is for individuals who wish to commit to the association long-term.
It involves a one-time substantial payment but offers a 5-year-long membership
without the need for renewal
Benefits:- All benefits of premium membership for a 5-year lifetime
- Recognition in association publications or websites
- special invitations to high-level events
- A voice in certain organizational decisions
- Membership fee:
- HSAs/EHAs/CHWs/DCAs (Those with a certificate in EH/PH or Disease control & surveillance Assistants -> MK40,000
- With a Diploma in EH/PH -> MK60,000
- With a Degree in EH/PH and above -> MK80,000
- Corporate or Institutional Sponsorship:
Definition: This level targets businesses, universities, or other organizations that wish to support the association. This membership is structured around supporting the association’s goals while providing benefits to the organization.
Benefits:- Brand visibility through the association’s events and publications
- Access to industry research and reports, opportunities for collaborative
- Memberships for a maximum of five employees. Cover for additional employees will attract half the normal basic membership fee per individual.

Companies/Statutory corporations -> MK1,000,000
- Retired Professional Membership:
Definition: This level is for professionals who have retired from Environmental /Public Health Practice but wish to remain involved in the professional community.
Benefits:- May include all the benefits of standard membership at a discounted rate (50%)
- Opportunities to mentor younger professionals
- Access to special events.
- Membership fee:
- HSAs/EHAs/CHWs/DCAs (Those with a certificate in EH/PH or Disease control & surveillance Assistants -> MK5,000
- With a Diploma in EH/PH -> MK8,000
- With a Degree in EH/PH and above MK12,000
- Points to note
- Fees apply for a year to all individuals
- Payment period of the generic fees is from January 1 to March 31st every year.
- Fees paid in the subsequent quarters will attract an additional MK5000 per quarter missed.
- Active membership will only be granted to members who have cleared balances for all the outstanding annual fees.
- Subscriptions should be made direct to MEHA account and the member is supposed to fill an online form as required. A membership certificate will be prepared and shared within 5 working days.
- Subscriptions can also be made through District Chapter Leads recognized by MEHA. You can deposit to MEHA account, fill a Membership hardcopy form and submit to the District Chapter Lead. In cases of difficulties in Bank accessibility, cash payments can be given to the District Chapter Leads who will deposit to association account latest last day of the month the funds have been collected.
