Nelson Kumwenda is an Environmental Health Officer at Blantyre District Health Office with 18 years of experience in public health, specializing in WASH, port health, and research coordination. He oversees district-level WASH interventions, manages port health operations, and leads the Research Committee to strengthen evidence-based programming. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Nelson Mandela University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Environmental Health at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences. Nelson has contributed to policy development, program implementation, and professional leadership, including serving as an Executive Member of the Malawi Environmental Health Association. His work focuses on preventive health, system strengthening, and advancing inclusive WASH practices.
