Lewis Tukula is an environmental health professional with extensive experience in preventive health and program management. He currently serves as the Chief Preventive Health Officer for Chikwawa District, where he leads efforts in disease control, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), nutrition, immunisation, and health promotion. A qualified Field Epidemiologist and graduate of the University of Malawi (Polytechnic) with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health, Lewis has also completed advanced training in leadership and public health emergency management. He has played a key role in Malawi’s response to major outbreaks, including cholera, COVID-19, and polio, and is committed to strengthening health systems and improving community health outcomes through evidence-based interventions
