Chimwemwe Kabowa is an accomplished Environmental Health professional with a master’s degree in Environmental Health from the University of Malawi, formerly known as The Polytechnic, and over 18 years of experience. Currently serving as the Technical Coordinator for the COVID-19 Response Mechanism at ActionAid Malawi, she oversees the implementation of a Community-Led Monitoring Project funded by Global Health through the Ministry of Health. As the Secretary General of the Malawi Environmental Health Association, Chimwemwe is dedicated to uniting Environmental Health professionals across diverse sectors, including civil service, NGOs, civil society organizations, parastatals, and corporate entities. Her vision is to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among professionals to build a robust association that effectively addresses environmental health challenges. By advocating for policies that promote Environmental health and sustainability, she aims to contribute to the nation’s economic growth and align with Malawi’s Agenda 2063 goals. Through her leadership, Chimwemwe aspires to create a vibrant community of professionals committed to advancing environmental health and enhancing the quality of life for all Malawians.
