Bertha Sato is a seasoned global and environmental health professional with over 12 years of experience in health policy, programme coordination and facilitation, project management, capacity building, advocacy, and health promotion. She serves at the Malawi National AIDS Commission (NAC), where she provides strategic leadership and technical guidance to national stakeholders and partners, driving evidence-based, cost-effective HIV and SRHR programmes aligned with national and global priorities. She holds an MSc in Global Health and a BSc in Environmental Health from the University of Malawi, complemented by extensive professional development certifications. Bertha has authored and presented numerous abstracts at national, regional, and global forums, including the International AIDS Conference, helping to shape dialogue and innovation in public health. She has contributed to national and global policies, including the 2026–2030 Global AIDS Strategy.
