Dr. K. Chidziwisano is a lecturer at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), department of Environmental Health. Kondwani holds a PhD in Social and Behavioural Sciences from University of Strathclyde, Scotland. Kondwani has implemented Environmental Health research with various partners globally including London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, University of Strathclyde, Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH), University of Sterling and Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust (MLW).

Dr. Chidziwisano’s recent research work includes the Sanitation and Hygiene Applied Research for Equity (SHARE), Drivers of Antimicrobial Resistance in Uganda and Malawi (DRUM), Sustainable Plastic Attitudes to Benefit Communities and their Environments (SPACES), Designing interventions to improve WASH behaviours in institutions and communities.  Currently, Kondwani serves as one of the technical advisors of the COVID – 19 hygiene hub that plays an advisory role on the COVID19 pandemic to governments and organizations. Kondwani is currently working with other experts in developing WHO’s hand hygiene guidelines for the community setting.
